The Pocket Showroom is a space dedicated to Canadian contemporary artworks. A private space open to the public in the same building as the HPG. This summer, 2017, our artist in residence is Dani Hausmann, a Montreal photographer.

Hausmann's work shows Montreal urban landscapes through the years. Some in Griffintown, some in other places such as Redpath Sugar or the Lachine canal. Places slowly disappearing before our eyes. A lot more can be said about Hausmann's consistent work through the years and its beauty exposed and framed on a white wall. Eternally modern yet still very classic. A little like the stone walls, and street graffiti shown in his images. Staged in a very classic way that reminds us sometimes of the great masters of Impressionism. This artwork defies time. It is also an historic documentation of what is or was Montreal, our beloved city. A selection of these iconic pictures will be shown very soon in our pocket showroom open to the public. HPG is proud to help artists to create and to survive. Acquire a work of Art . The catalogue is presented on our site. Different formats are available and different framing options exist. Ask us for more information.
If you would like to be invited to the exhibition’s vernissage (we are working on it), the inauguration of the hotel’s pocket showroom, and have an opportunity to meet with the artist, please let us know and we will contact you. |
